This book of “Essays on Islamic Professional Ethics” is collective work of group of academicians; it provides a wide discussion on subjects such as; meaning and concept of ethics, the nature of ethics, ethics at work, principle of value, ethics of leadership and administration, ethics of business activities, the place, and importance of work in Islamic tradition and business contracts.

The idea of publishing this work came to reality when the university assigned to me to teach the subject of Professional Ethics to the third year students in first semester 2004. Besides the major references and textbooks on the subject, I found these articles worthy of studying and discussing among my students, which encourage me and my colleagues to publish the essays.

I have no doubt that some of the articles need radical improvement, however it is undeniable that most of the contributors provided useful information and analysis on subjects that helps a lot the students, professionals and ordinary readers.

Nevertheless, the editors are convinced that this book will serve the students taking this course as a genuine reading material and true companion.

Finally, I would like to thank those who make possible to bring this work to the real world, especially the Islamic University College who assign me to teach this course, contributors, editors, and publishers.
